Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) returns from Missoula, Montana to the stage of Jesse Auditorium. MCT provides a week-long residency “starring” 50 to 60 local students in a full-scale musical. Two professional tour Actor/Directors will arrive in Columbia with scenery, costumes, props, make-up, and basic lighting … everything it takes to put on a play – except the cast!
The Missoula Children’s Theatre presents Jack and The Beanstalk, an original adaptation of the classic children’s story. What happens when a young boy plants magic beans in his own backyard? For Jack, it is the beginning of a great adventure. With a little help from Magic and a vegetarian Giant, Jack learns a valuable lesson about true happiness. This musical production also features a host of other characters, including the Magic Harp, Jill, Mother, Milky White, the Farmers, the Merchants, the Circus Performers and the Magic Beans.
Auditions will be held Monday, May 3, in Jesse Auditorium. Registration from 4 to 4:15. The audition will begin at 4:15 and conclude at approximately 6:00 p.m.
This is a group audition. No preparation or experience necessary. Those auditioning must be available that Monday through Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and for the entirety of the day on Saturday, May 8, for rehearsal and two performances.
Auditions are open to ages 5-18. There is no cost to audition or participate in this program.

Event information: There should be no photography during the performance. There will be a time for photos immediately following the show. Also, please observe the following video courtesies: keep the aisles clear and stay in one place while videotaping, use only battery operated cameras, and cover the video camera's power light with dark tape.
