For the third time at Jesse Hall, a partnership that is quickly becoming a holiday tradition in Columbia – the Columbia Chorale and the Columbia Civic Orchestra present the Christmas numbers from Handel's
Messiah, probably the best–loved choral piece ever composed. For hundreds of years, every Christmas season, thousands of people around the world gather to hear this musical masterpiece, which completes the holidays like no other music.

Enjoy the best–known choruses and solos from Handel's Messiah in this fantastic concert prepared especially for this holiday season. You will hear selections such as the Hallelujah chorus, For Unto Us a Child is Born, Rejoice, The Trumpet Shall Sound, and much more!
Maestro Alex Innecco will be joined by soloists from Chicago, Seattle and New York, bringing you the best of this wonderful oratorio in a concert for the whole family.
Through a collaboration with the University of Missouri's Museum of Art and Archaeology, this performance will also feature artwork from the Museum's nationally-recognized holdings projected onstage for your enjoyment and to complement passages from the oratorio.
