Handel’s Messiah is probably the best-loved choral piece ever composed. For hundreds of years, every Christmas season, thousands of people around the world gather to hear this musical masterpiece, which completes the holidays like no other music.

The Columbia Chorale, directed by Alex Innecco, will be joined by the Columbia Civic Orchestra and soloists from Chicago Lyric Opera and the Bellevue Opera (WA), bringing you the best of this wonderful oratorio in a concert for the whole family.

Through a collaboration with the University of Missouri’s Museum of Art and Archaeology, this performance will also feature artwork from the Museum’s nationally-recognized holdings projected onstage for your enjoyment and to complement passages from the oratorio.
