Robert BluestoneThe University Concert Series is proud to offer a community engagement program that takes high-quality educational experiences directly to area youth in mid-Missouri.

In recent years, studies have proven what the University Concert Series has been aware of: that the inclusion of the performing arts in a child's life improves the quality of their educational experience. The arts teach discipline, build self-esteem, inspire creativity, and help young people to set and reach goals.

As we enter our 101st season, it is with great pride that we have the opportunity to pass along tradition, education, culture and entertainment. And for well over a decade, the University Concert Series has not only been entertaining mid-Missouri with world-renowned artists, but has also been offering outreach programs for area youth in this community as well. Our community engagement program brings together a broad range of area youth with distinguished artists to enhance the educational experience and make the performing arts accessible to youth at every economic level.

This season, the Concert Series will include special matinee performances of the Nebraska Theatre Caravan's A Christmas Carol and Ailey II targeted at local schools and community groups. Click on the links to the show pages to find out more.
